In 1981, Chuck left the management staff of an international accounting firm to form Nicholson & Olson, CPA’s. He has over 34 years of audit and management experience and extensive experience in all facets of individual, corporate, and partnership tax return preparation and planning. Chuck directs the Audit, Tax, and Litigation Support services provided by the firm. His clients include professionals, retailers, manufacturers, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, individuals, and many other small to medium-sized businesses.

Chuck has had significant involvement in the community. He has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations. His active participation in professional organizations allows him to be at the forefront in understanding and establishing quality standards of reporting and auditing for governmental entities and nonprofit organizations.


Ken has over 30 years of diversified financial and business management experience. Ken spent several years with an international accounting firm, and has extensive experience in audit and tax planning for small to mid-sized for profit and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, with several years’ experience as the Vice President of Operations for a large real estate development and management firm, Ken provides specialized consulting services in the area of real estate. He has served on the board of several businesses during his career.


Clay has been with Nicholson & Olson, CPA’s for 30 years. Prior to his employment, he worked as a controller and Chief Financial Officer for companies in the construction and retail industries. With his experience on both “sides” of the accounting profession (i.e., internal and external), he has the depth of knowledge necessary to provide insight as to what services a company can best benefit from and how best to implement those services. Clay performs tax consulting and preparation and oversees the accounting services portion of the accounting practice. In addition, he has been responsible for the overall practice administration during his employment at Nicholson & Olson, CPA’s.


Tatyana has over 15 years of experience in the accounting profession. Prior to her employment with Nicholson & Olson, CPAs, Tatyana was involved with tax and accounting services for a Minnesota public accounting firm. Her primary focus of work is in the area of tax and accounting. She has been responsible for organizing and “cleaning up” the records of a variety of businesses. In addition, Tatyana has experience in trust account and administration. As her time permits, she also works in the preparation of review and compiled financial reports.



Jim has over 35 years of accounting and auditing experience. His extensive experience includes managing governmental and nonprofit audit engagements for both regional and national public accounting firms as well as practicing several years as a sole proprietor. His responsibilities have included:

  • Performing financial and compliance audits of nonprofit organizations and Federal, State, and Local government agencies;
  • Developing indirect cost rates and cost allocation plans for government contractors;
  • Developed and conducting training seminars on auditing techniques and;
  • Designing and implementing fund accounting systems for multi-funded governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations.


Terri has over 22 years of professional experience with public accounting firms. Her experience includes managing audits of entities with revenues ranging from $100,000 to $150 million. Her experience includes construction and other for profit entities, not-for-profit organizations, Employee Benefit Plans, and entities reporting to the Security Exchange Commission. Terri maintains the specialized education necessary to audit employee pension benefit plans and government funded non-profit organizations. In addition, she spent several years as personal financial management consultant to professional athletes.


Marvin has over ten years of accounting and auditing experience. His responsibilities have included performing various audit services, consulting, and agreed upon procedures. Prior to his employment with Nicholson & Olson, CPA’s, Marvin was employed by a large local accounting firm, which specialized in audits of governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations and tax preparation and consulting.
